GSC Information: History

Geographic Services Corporation ("GSC") was founded in 1993 in Norwich, VT.

Our business began as a GIS consulting business specializing in geographic databases and software systems. We also developed specialized hard copy and digital maps, built CD-based ATM locator systems for banks, and assisted pioneering Internet companies like City Search with their geocoding needs.

In mid-1997 we expanded our offerings by developing a private label store locator service for the Internet. Our locator clients include Godiva Chocolates, CVS Pharmacies, Old Mother Hubbard, and RBC Bank.

GSC's principals each have on average over 20 years of experience in the fields of geographic processing, service work, and software product development.
